Alvaro Patricio Robles filmmaker, photographer, composer and multidisciplinary artist from Chile.
Alvaro directed many short films. He also created the long films “El Sueño del Caracol” (2000) and “Huevo Negro” (2001), both works rescue the esthetic elements of video-installation, documentary and experimental cinema. In 2002 Alvaro Robles realized the documentary “No citizen”. In 2004 he created his third long film “Crisálida”, an experimental work that explores the world of a schizophrenic woman, it was internationally released in the contemporary gallery art Studio of Rotterdam-Holland, it was shown in Chile in 2005 during the IX International Cinema Festival of Valparaiso. On 2007 he is member of the jury for the shortfilms short list on the 19º International Film Festival of Viña del Mar. During seven years he was professor of Photography course and Digital Cinema course at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. On 2002 he gave a Digital Cinema Workshop at the Balmaceda 1215 Culture Corporation. He has shown his work on collective and individual paintings, photographies, collages, drawings, installations and video-installation exhibitions.
