Finally, there’s a new photography book of Roy Stuart

Fans of Roy Stuart’s photography, like myself, had to wait for a long time for a new book of “the Grandmaster of Erotic Photography”. But finally, after six years, there’s a new book called “Roy Stuart – Glympstorys’’. The book contains short photo storys.

Stuart left his old publisher TASCHEN and found a new one: Edition Skylight. Luckily the quality (and size!) of the book remains of a very high standard.

What appeals to me in Roy Stuart’s photography is the way he involves the viewer in an often voyeuristic setting. His photography is pure en honest with a lot of respect for the female beauty and body. His photographs are so much more than porn and/or eroticism.

In his new book „Roy Stuart – Glympstorys’’ he involves the viewer even more by combining his pictures with lyrics, poetry and music. I’d recommend combining looking at the photographs and listening to the music and lyrics form the dvd.

In the six years between his last book en this new book, Roy Stuart has published Glimpse dvd’s. Some of the great pictures in the book are from those dvd’s, but there are also many new pictures in the book.

I definitely recommend “Roy Stuart – Glympstorys’’ to all people who love erotic photography and who want and expect more ….
