Caprice Elise
Photographer
“The years of Caprice’s evolution by way of New Orleans, New York, and the so-called American counterculture, having left her original home of small town Mississippi led to many writers, musicians, painters, and photographers including Melanie King, George Pitts, Christopher ‘Daze’ Ellis, and Jonathan Postal.
Having relocated to Paris in an attempt to escape puritan views of the States, she immediately began an apprenticeship under Taschen’s multi-published Roy Stuart who, of extreme importance, has continued to lead her along her photographic and cinematographic experience/career. Caprice remains fascinated by cinematographic techniques and especially by the use of erotica in cinema; questioning constantly, she observes and builds just such faceted narratives. Much of her work involves her own personal sexual explorations, occasionally including scenes of close friends. A ‘photo diary’ born, among these images available to explore.”
